Simon Data Raises $30 Million Series C to Proceed to Develop Customer Data Platform

As businesses use a growing variety of advertising software program solutions, the goal around collecting all of that data is to enhance the customer experience. Simon Data declared a $30 million Series C spherical today to help.

Polaris Partners headed the round. Previous traders .406 Ventures and F-Prime Capital also took part. Today’s funding brings the sum raised to $59 million, according to the firm.

Jason Davis, co-founder, and CEO says his firm is trying to tug together loads of complex data from a wide range of sources while driving actions to enhance the customer experience.

Corporations tend to make use of a variety of advertising tools, and Simon Data takes on the job of understanding the data and actions going on in each one. Then based on specific activities — such as, an abandoned shopping cart — it delivers a consistent message to the shopper, despite the source of the data that triggered the action.

They see this ability to pull together information as a customer data platform. In reality, part of its job is to aggregate information and use it as the idea of other operations. In this case, it includes activating actions customers define based on what they know about the buyer at any given second in the course.

The company, which launched in 2014, is based in NYC. The corporate currently has 87 employees, and that quantity is predicted to develop with today’s declaration. Clients include Equinox, Venmo, and WeWork. The corporate’s most recent funding was a $20 million round in last July.
